Be dazzled by vibrant colors and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of South America in the Mexican Expo.

Authentic flavors, artisanal crafts, clothes, decor, jewelry– you’ll see all of those in this event. Each piece will tell a story and show the artistic traditions passed down through generations, from alebrijes to colorful oaxaca dresses and las manualidades.

More than that, watch live entertainment and dance to the beats of mariachi music and other talented musicians.

You cannot miss the Wonderland of the Americas at the major intersection of I-10 and Loop 410, and parking is free.

This event has it all– dancing, live music, and food!

Featuring The Merles, Dine, and Dance offers free dance lessons to all ages! So, bring everyone– the kids, your parents, and even some friends! And when all is said and done, enjoy some delicious eats.

Start the holiday season with Buddy the Elf. Get your tickets now to Alamo Draft House’s Elf Movie Party. Spread the holiday cheer at this interactive holiday party with games, props, and singing loud for all to hear!

You’ll also get your very own elf hat!

The Stone Oak Drafthouse is smaller than it’s Park North location, so if this is your first time be ready for smaller screens and arrive early for optimal parking. If ridesharing or public transportation is an option for you, it can eliminate the parking complaints that would otherwise sour your Holiday Cheer.

Get ready for a month-long musical celebration of the flamenco community. Dancing, music, and all-around merriment! There will be special events, musical and dance performances, and more!

Carmens de la Calle Cafe on North Flores Street provides the perfect intimate restaurant experience, from authentic Spanish food to a rich cultural atmosphere.

Fall Pumpkin Patch

Have a magical day at The Tower of the Americas with your loved ones. Experience epic fall fun at the perfect pumpkin patch in the city where you can pick your favorite pumpkin and snap photos with the autumn displays.

The Fall Pumpkin Patch at The Tower is free and open to the public during normal operating hours, although parking rates may apply. Most park by the Texas Cultures Institute next door for $10 Monday – Thursday and $20 Friday – Sunday. Tickets for the view at the top of the Tower are separate, and you can also catch dinner if it coincides with your schedule.

Dress for the season, bring props, and even take your furbaby to meet Cowboy Kringle, just in time for Christmas. These photo sessions are only available by appointment and provide the perfect South Texas flair to your holiday photos.

Family Workshop: Pinewood Derby

It’s a day at the races for families at The DoSeum! Together, families will design and decorate their own pinewood derby car. Then, their creation will be put to the test with a set of races.

The $75 ($65 for members) fee gets families of up to 5 members one pinewood derby car kit and access to all the tools, art supplies, and mods you need to design the fastest, coolest derby car.

While the DoSeum is fantastic for kids of all ages, this event is recommended for those 4 and up and their caregivers. Be warned – your children will probably want to roll down the massive grassy hill at the entrance, but no one will judge you if you let them.

Zoo Lights

Powered by CPS Energy, this weekend kicks off Zoo Lights and transforms the San Antonio Zoo into a bright, twinkling winter wonderland.

Listen to festive music as you ogle at the dazzling lights and whimsical displays. The Holiday Express will take you on a journey across magical realms, like Water Wonderland, Starry Safari, and Peppermint Path – all on top of the zoo’s already amazing population of marvelous and majestic creatures. 

In each realm, you’ll meet characters, indulge in treats, and participate in activities for all ages.

No need to splurge separately from your standard ticket or membership to enjoy all the San Antonio Zoo has to offer, but you may want to budget extra for pictures with Santa, s’mores, and other optional activities.

Ground parking near the zoo fills up quickly, so you may want to opt for the parking garage or under Loop 281 and plan to walk.
