The River Holiday Market is filled with seasonal cheer! Stroll through the many local vendors offering cool and unique items– perfect for Christmas gifts!
You can get a complimentary hot chocolate (or a boozy one, if you’re feeling fun).
If you need to do some last-minute Christmas shopping, this is the place to do it. While you can always stop by the Riverwalk for the sights, the indoor market provides the perfect cover from the upcoming rain we get instead of snow.

12 Days of Christmas
The River North Icehouse is celebrating its very first 12 Days of Christmas, with some festive and fun every single day!
On Friday, party at Grinchy Beats & The Ho-Ho-Ho Show, a Grinch-themed Christmas rave with a DJ.
On Saturday, wear your sexiest holiday holiday costume for Santa’s Naughty List. You just might win prizes.
On Sunday, have an epic night of drinks and merriment with a bar crawl and gingerbread competition. Go around bars around the district and watch who will be crowned Gingerbread House Champs of the River North District!

Gingerbread Garden Shed

Bundle up the family and make your way to the Culinary Garden of the San Antonio Botanical Garden for a night of edible building!
See a twist on the well-known gingerbread houses, built with things found right in the garden! While you create your tasty homes, snack on seasonal treats, like cheese puffs, kid-friendly charcuterie, hot chocolate, and peppermint tea.

Holiday Movies by Moonlight: The Muppet Christmas Carol
Celebrate the Christmas season at Hemisfair with a heartwarming tale with Kermit and his friends– The Muppet Christmas Carol. Hemisfair sets up a giant screen on the lawn, and you’re welcome to bring blankets, camping chairs, and whatever you need to get comfortable for the film.
Before the film, festivities begin with Holiday Musical Bingo!

Saturday with a Scientist: Inspired by Spiders

Bria Marty is back at the Witte to share even more fascinating facts about spiders! Come by on Saturday with a Scientist to ask all arachnid-related questions. You’ll learn about spider anatomy and how to use your phone to identify spiders. You can even get your own copy of Spider Friends Guide. Because Bria loves doing spider scavenger hunts, this is the perfect opportunity to learn in a more hands-on way!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Family Party
Power up your weekend with a Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Family Party! This interactive movie party will have blue Sonic quill glowsticks, a bag of Sonic rings, chaos emeralds, and a keychain of Sonic’s iconic red shoes. If your kids are anything like mine, this might even be better than Christmas.
You’ll even get to choose between a Sonic or Shadow headband and participating in the Dr. Robotnik mustache-making craft.
